After spending some time with Grooveshark and Turntable.fm, I’m now starting to come back around to Pandora.
I was initially drawn to the level of control and selection Grooveshark gave me, but often found myself paralyzed, staring blankly at the search screen. When confronted with infinite possibilities, we find it hard to make any decision because there may always be a better option.
Turntable.fm is great. I love the social aspect of selecting music for others to enjoy and sharing the experience. But when I’m part of a group I feel drawn to interact and converse, which easily monopolizes my limited brainpower.
So I’m going back to Pandora for now. The ability to turn it on and not think about it again (save the occasional “Are You Still Listening?” dialog) is priceless.
